Tom Livo is an American modernist; his paintings celebrate the epic nature of the commonplace, and the personal significance of the extraordinary.

Livo studied painting at the College for Creative Studies from 1981-1987 under Aris Katroulis and Richard Jerzy. He was awarded study in the New York Studio Program from CCS in 1986. Tom has lived in Chicago an Los Angeles where he sold paintings out of his studio. Since returning to Detroit, He has shown at The Kresge Foundation , The Scarab Club, Image Works, Gallery Camille, Playground, Collected Detroit and Hatch Galleries. His work is in the collection of the Ford Motor Company , and many private collections. He currently works and lives in Dearborn and is part of the Fishnet Artist Studios Collective.
